There’s been a lot of confusion lately about an item number in
Priyadarshan’s Tezz. A section of the media recently reported that
Priyanka Chopra would do the item number. But the maverick director said
he wasn’t even aware of it. The story goes that this item song is
indeed a part of the film but it was to be picturised on Sameera Reddy,
who is already a part of the film.
What seems to have happened is that a unit member had casually suggested that if the item number was done by a big name, it would enhance the prospects of the film. This suggestion reached the media and, as they say, the rest is history. How typical!
